Teacher Alan has over a decade of experience working with students of all ages and levels. Having taught in a wide range of settings, from preschools to middle school classrooms to student’s homes and online, Alan has collected a wide variety of teaching methods to suit everyone. From three-year-old students to award winning classical guitar competitors, teacher Alan’s guitar and ukulele studio is one of the fullest and most varied music studios in the Bay Area and beyond. Classical, folk, rock, metal pop and song writing are some of the music style’s teacher Alan enjoys teaching in guitar and ukulele. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Alan has built a teaching studio in the Bay area and across Latin America. Alan completed his music bachelor’s degree at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2015 with renowned guitarist, composer and arranger, Sergio Assad. Not only experienced as a teacher, Alan has lots of experience as a solo performer and has a rapidly growing touring career with his ensemble, the Stanton Street Duo.
Guitarist and lutenist Tatiana Senderowicz is a versatile solo and chamber musician. She played at Davies Symphony Hall as a soloist and alongside the San Francisco Symphony Women’s Chorus at the Dia de los Muertos Community Concert. Tatiana also played guitar and electric bass in the American premiere of Opera Parallèle’s production of Tarik O’Regan’s opera Heart of Darkness. Tatiana has worked with several Baroque ensembles throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, including the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, Nash Baroque, and Liaison Ensemble. With the San Francisco Conservatory Baroque Ensemble, she played theorbo and baroque guitar in productions of Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea, Purcell’s Fairy Queen, Handel’s Alcina and Serse and in various other chamber projects under the direction of Corey Jamason and Elisabeth Reed. As a guitarist in the Stanton Street Duo, a harmonica-guitar ensemble with husband, Alan Lopez, Tatiana works diligently to create the stylistic and dynamic arrangements she performs on the seven-string guitar. Senderowicz studied with Larry Ferrara and David Tanenbaum at the San Francisco Conservatory where she earned both her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees with a Secondary Emphasis on Historical Plucked Strings.
